Lots at stake
When Xaar wanted to relocate a high technology production line from Järfälla, Sweden to Cambridge, it appointed IES as primary contractor to handle the equipment and machinery removals to the UK. Xaar, the world’s leading independent supplier of industrial inkjet print heads, epitomises many high-tech companies. Aware of what was at stake during the move from Sweden (time, lost production and high value assets), Xaar selected IES to provide a turnkey service to undertake the time critical move of the delicate, high value equipment.
Working closely with the Xaar team
Working closely with the Xaar team, IES engineers removed production lines from a working manufacturing plant in Sweden. The move was undertaken in controlled phases, so as to minimise impact on output and maintain stringent safety standards.
Following safe transit of the machinery to the UK IES managed the staged move in to a newly expanded clean room facility in Huntingdon. Xaar benefitted from the expertise, attention to detail and specialist skills that IES brought to the move - and the peace of that high technology industry enjoys from knowing that valuable business critical assets are in safe hands throughout the operation.
